In 2008 the two of us, Nicky Stoner and Claire Vardon, started Jewellery with Attitude, based in Sussex. Combining our skills as designer and silversmith we produce unique and beautiful pieces of jewellery.

Using carefully selected recycled materials our jewellery is designed to include a silver element - toggles and pendants are crafted in 999 fine silver, and many of our clasps are handmade from 925 sterling silver. All these pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office.

Having started out designing our jewellery with semi-precious stones we saw some wonderful recycled glass beads made by artisan families in Ghana and fell in love with the unique character and glorious colours. While semi-precious stones are undeniably beautiful, the jewellery we create using the recycled glass beads never fails to be noticed and is a joy to wear. We then decided to concentrate on using recycled and sustainable materials.

We spend a lot of time experimenting with different combinations of materials to make exciting, different and affordable jewellery.

We have recently introduced our own handmade felt and papier maché beads into the designs and combine these with other found materials, then intersperse them with silver coated ceramic buttons and beads.

All the jewellery is made by us and we enjoy collaborating with our customers to create beautiful and individual pieces. We pride ourselves on the uniqueness of our designs and offer a personal and friendly service.
